               Faculty Instructions for Submitting a SuperUROP Project (please change "eecs" to your dept where appropriate!)

Students:

At this time the EECS Department has confirmed that they will participate in the SuperUROP Program and provide funding to most of their students working with EECS faculty. If you are choosing a supervisor in another department, you need to have a co-supervisor on the EECS faculty, to facilitate your eligibility for funding. EECS will also fund a limited number of CS+HASS projects.

The CEE Department expects to support a limited number of SuperUROP students.

We hope that the AeroAstro Department, the MechE Department, and the ChemE Department will participate in SuperUROP for 2024-2025, with the potential of providing departmental SuperUROP funding for the research component. We will update this statement when/if these opportunities materialize.

The MIT option is for students who are not in the listed departments. In this case, it is unlikely that there will be departmental SuperUROP funding. There is possibly funding from your supervisor (at a rate you negotiate with your supervisor) or from the UROP office (at below the SuperUROP rate) or you can earn credit for the research component.
